The UBtheNEWS project is 100% supported by the generous contributions of those who wish to see this project grow and develop. It was initially funded by Halbert, who initiated it and continues to spearhead the effort. He liquidated everything he could to provide the seed money. By about February of 2008 his resources were completely exhauste. Since that time Urantia Book readers have provided all the necessary funding and other types of support that keeps it going.
Contributions to the UBtheNEWS project are, of course, very much appreciated. Because Mind, Body & Spirit has graciously offered to support this work, contributions can be made through them and, if done in that manner, they are tax deductible.
Clicking on the Contributions button will take you to a page that allows you to make contributions online by credit card and provides an address if you would like to send in a check.
Halbert does not maintain a residence; he lives in a very small 1989 motor home, which was purchased in Januray 2007 so that he could travel around the United States to give presentations while also doing the vast majority of the research and writing necessary to produce the reports. His willigness to live life in this manner keeps UBtheNEWS expenses minimized. The regular expenses involve gas and maintenance expenses for the motor home, paying for food and basic living expenses, Halbert's cell phone, and a little bit of money to the webmaster, who, for the most part, provides his high level of expertise as a service to the project.
There is a Contributors List on this site for those who would like to be recognized for supporting this project. I think it provides credibility to this work for people to be able to see the UBtheNEWS project getting support from many people. Naturally, anonymous contributions are allowed and appreciated just as much. Whatever you want to do in this regard is perfectly fine.
If you would like to make a contribution that is earmarked for a particular aspect of the UBtheNEWS project, this desire can also be accommodated. Please call Halbert Katzen at (303) 589-1190 to make arrangements for this type of gift.
Take a moment to consider the importance of having someone doing this type of work on a full time basis. Coordinating all the activities associated with the UBtheNEWS project is an enormous job and efficiency would drop significantly if Halbert is not able to give it his full attention.
Please be a member of the UBtheNEWS family of people who support this project.
Thank you.
