Credibility v. Proof

The issue is one of credibility, not proof. UbtheNEWS is not an effort to prove that The Urantia Book is what it claims to be- a book written by angels. The purpose of UBtheNEWS is to inform people about the unique quality of credibility that the book exhibits. If there is another book somewhere in the world that extensively addresses a broad range of historical and scientific issues, and that has, over time, increasingly been demonstrating the accuracy and scientific corroboration of that information, please let me know. Near as I can tell The Urantia Book is unique in this regard.

It is challenging in today's world to know where to turn to for credible information about God and spirituality. Most texts that are primarily about God and spirituality do not also make specific statements about a broad range of scientific disciplines and or get so detailed and comprehensive in recounting human history. Nonetheless, corroborations of the science and history in The Urantia Book do not prove anything regarding where the information came from or the validity of any of the other information that is presented in the book.

The goal of UBtheNEWS is to intrigue and inspire. The hope is that the emerging credibility through scientific corroborations will encourage people to check out the whole book. The corroborations of The Urantia Book encourage interest in and appreciation for the parts of the book that are about God and spirituality.

UBtheNEWS is not here so that people who believe The Urantia Book can have something to be right about. It is not about needing to prove something. UBtheNEWS is about being of service to people and doing some good in and for the world. If we stay focused on the issue of credibility, we can be of service, make friends, and have a positive influence on others when we bring up the subject of science and The Urantia Book.
